Chapter 2 of Bendy and the Ink Machine centres on Sammy Lawrence, a studio music director who has come to worship the Ink Demon as a god. His recorded prayer uses the vocabulary of Christian devotion directly: savior, prayer, blessings, sacrifice, and a closing “Can I get an amen?” He has converted a utility area into a sacrifice room with candles and a ritual post, and attempts to offer the player as the sacrifice. Pentagrams and ritual circles recur across the game.
