Devil May Cry 2

Determination: Ambient — Blasphemy 1

The villain is named after a real Christian heresiarch, and the collectibles are called holy relics.

Devil May Cry 2's religious content is nominal but real. Arius is a businessman who runs the Uroboros Corporation and wants to transcend mortality by absorbing the power of the demon lord Argosax. His name is taken from Arius, the third-century Alexandrian priest condemned as a heretic for holding that Christ was not eternal. The items he needs are the Arcanas, described in the game's materials as holy relics hidden across Vie de Marli, and the backstory has Lucia's mother Matier exorcising Argosax centuries earlier with Sparda's help. Set against that, the Arcanas themselves are tarot-themed rather than Christian, and the game makes nothing of the Arian controversy the villain is named for. Vocabulary without engagement is what ambient records.
